Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer (CRO)
Liliana Miranda has served as Chief Risk Officer of WestStar since March 2015. She is responsible for overseeing the bank's governance and strategy for risk management and compliance, including the development and implementation of risk management measures throughout the bank. In addition, Liliana also oversees the bank’s subsidiaries and loan operations.
Liliana has served in a number of senior roles within the bank, including Senior Vice President and Auditor, in which she was responsible for overseeing and providing direction over the bank's internal audit, loan review, and compliance functions. Before joining WestStar in 2002 as an Assistant Vice President, Liliana was a Senior Auditor for a Big Four accounting firm.
Liliana is involved with industry and community organizations and currently serves on the executive board of the Texas Chapter of the Risk Management Association. She is also a past president of Hospice of El Paso Board of Directors and past president of the St. Raphael Catholic School Board.
In addition to her banking experience, Liliana has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University, where she received the Recognition of Leadership honor.
