Miguel Fernandez S. is a business and community leader active in both the United States and Mexico. He serves as CEO of Flö Networks, a multinational telecommunications infrastructure company he co-founded in 2001. Flö Networks provides digital infrastructure services to Fortune 1000 companies, including other telecommunications and cable operators, over a fiber-optic network that spans more than 15,000 route miles.

Mr. Fernandez’s professional activities focus on areas of telecommunications, banking, finance, and real estate. At Flö Networks, he oversees the execution and implementation of the company’s strategic goals and objectives, including overall budgets, mergers, and acquisitions.

He is a co-founder of SABA Investments, a regional technology fund; Stanton Hospitality, an El Paso-based hospitality group; and Sotoak Realty, a real estate company focused on developing downtown El Paso. Mr. Fernandez serves on the Board of El Paso Children’s Hospital.

A native of the Paso del Norte region, Mr. Fernandez is involved with many community groups and non-profit organizations. He was instrumental in the movement to establish a children’s museum in El Paso. He is a member of Borderplex Alliance, an El Paso-based bi-national economic development organization.

Mr. Fernandez has also served on the Board of Directors for the Medical Center of the Americas, an organization dedicated to the advancement and development of the MCA campus and regional biomedical initiatives. He also previously served on the City of El Paso Planning Commission and was a member of Paso Del Norte Group, a local organization of business and civic leaders.

Mr. Fernandez earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1998. Mr. Fernandez has been a director of WestStar Bank since 2018.
