Use Account Alerts to Stay on Top of Your Money

Life is hectic and sometimes a little nudge or a reminder would be helpful. That’s why our account alerts are so useful and can be set up for all sorts of things. From alerts to notify you when a check has cleared, or if a balance has hit a minimum, to simply reminding you it’s someone’s birthday, our free alerts can help you stay on top of your finances and life.

How to Set-up an Alert
To set up account alerts, you must first enroll in WestStar Bank online banking service, NetBanking. Once logged into NetBanking, follow the steps below to set up an alert.

1. On the left-hand side, in the Preferences section, select Alerts.

2. To create an alert, click Add Alert on the toolbar.
3. Select your alert criteria, including the notification frequency. If you choose to be notified only on the first occurrence, the alert will become inactive after the first trigger.

4. Select your notification preference. If you choose to be notified via phone, text, or email, there will be a secure message sent to your secure online mailbox.

5. Click OK. The window closes and your new alert displays on the Alerts page. You’re done!

Types of Alerts
Account Alert: trigger based on changes to your account details.
Date Alert: a convenient reminder of important dates or events.
History Alert: trigger based on historical transaction details.
Transaction Alert: trigger based on the type of online transactions.

Ways to Receive an Alert
Email: notification will be sent to your email address.
Phone: receive a call from our voice banking system when the alert triggers. You can even enter the desired time you want to receive the call any day the alert triggers.
Text: a message will be sent to your mobile device. Depending on your mobile plan, you may be charged for text message.
Secure Message: an alert is always delivered to your secure mailbox under the Services> Messages menu. In case you fail to receive an email or text, or miss a phone call, you can always confirm and review your alerts in your secure mailbox.
