On August 3, 2019, our city experienced a tragedy which will affect all of us forever. Our hearts are truly broken by this senseless violence, and we join with others across our community, state, and country in offering prayers and condolences to the victims and their families.

 

Through donations from team members, directors from the WestStar Board of Directors, WestStar clients, and matching funds from WestStar Bank, $50,000 were raised to support victims and their families affected by the tragedy. Donations will be given to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation’s El Paso Victims Relief Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation’s El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund.

 

We encourage all those who want to give, to do so through either the Paso del Norte Community Foundation’s El Paso Victims Relief Fund or the El Paso Community Foundation’s El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund. We are dedicated to help our community rise from this and in the coming weeks, our team members, board of directors, and the bank will raise funds internally to donate to each of the foundations.
