A recent El Paso Inc. column shares a firsthand account of a scam in which the caller appeared to be calling from WestStar and claimed there was a suspicious wire transfer on the client’s account. The experience is an important reminder that even when a call looks legitimate, it is important to stop and verify before providing information or taking action.
